I'd like to see Franklin take it.  There were rumors that he had the flu or something before their last fight, though I don't think they are true.  I don't think Franklin will get dominated in the clinch again like last time.  He's too smart of a fighter to be fooled twice.  Even if he gets stuck in the clinch again, he can body lock Silva to close the distance and take his knees out of play.  It's either going to be a decision for Silva, or Franklin will TKO him with some GnP.  I don't think he needs to take him down to win, nor do I think he will as Franklin loves to strike.

either way i think this will be a much better fight than their first one. not so one-sided. and Franklin does have KO power, he showed that against Quarry.  i'm looking forward to it.

This guy was right on.  Franklin got destroyed again, but at least made it to rnd 2 this time (barely).  Damn.  Wasn't even that good of a fight.

i Was watching UFC last night and what an absolutely shite fight. I mean its getting big on Sky (should i put: a generic satalite television program lol) now so i though i would check it out.

Well its was Branden Vera vs Syliva i think. Well i was bored brainless. 3 x 5 minute rounds.

Round 1: Sylvia pinned Brandon against the Octagon for the whole 5 mins, nothing more than a few little slaps and some badly aimed knees which did no damage. Crowd booing all the time.

Round 2: Sylvia pinned Brandon against the Octagon for 4 and a half minutes. Again a few little slaps badly aimed knees which did no damage. More booing the ref decided to split them up by a clever "Brandon's loose glove tape needs cutting off" maneuver. All done Brandon and Sylvia moved to the centre and Brandon got of 3 or 4 really good kicks at Sylvia and then landed him a good punch in the face before end of round.

Round 3: Sylvia pinned Brandon to the Octagon AGAIN! (loads and loads of booing because this fight is crap and Sylvia is no showman) Ref got fed up and reset them. Few puny punches by both men, then Sylvia pinned him against the Octagon AGAIN AGAIN! Grrr about to turn it off now. Then Brandon managed to pin Sylvia to the floor against the Octagon, (bit of a turn here) however he was using all his effort to hold him there and neither man could get a hit off. Sylvia spun out and Brandon got up then Syliva let loose on him with some quick hands for the last 30 seconds.

Brandon lost by unanimous judge decision. But the fight was so boring and crap and Sylvia was rubbish. Brandon had an excuse for not doing as well because he broke his hand in Round 1. But Sylvia just made it so boring he pinned him against the wall for nearly the whole 15 minutes. I mean when Brandon got free he really had some good technical ability getting well aimed kicks and punches in but Sylvia just got back up and kept forcing him to be pinned again and basically kissing his bloody ear all the time.

Honestly, it was an easy call. I've been watching MMA since the sports inception. Franklin is good but Silva's skill set is just unbelievable.

Sylvia was rubbish

So true. Lazy performance. The guy is a bar room brawler. If he doesn't end a fight in the first couple minutes it'll most like be 3 round of cuddling.

Right on the spot. I watched 15 minutes of cuddling last night it was wholly disappointing.

I kinda like the idea of UFC because its a true representation of who would win in a fight. Anyone can use whatever technical method they want and you get to see how it works when two people meet who fight in two totally different ways (more like real life). In boxing it goes on who can box better. In UFC it seems to be who can think better and use their fighting strengths to counter their opponents. It should theoretically be much better.

However as we saw with Sylvia last night he was totally no even on Brandon's same skill level and ended up just pinning him to the wall because he couldn't fight him. Plus he only won because of how he performed in 30 seconds in round 3. Where Brandon had a completely broken hand and could barely hit him back. It was a stupid fight Brandon didn't even get a chance. I can understand technically why Sylvia won as they are scored not only on aggressiveness and technical ability but also command of the Octagon. However he had no technical ability and wasn't aggressive. Unlike Brandon. He just used his blubbering size to trap Brandon.

tim sylvia's last few fights have been like this. he has lost his aggression for some reason. he used to just swing for the fence from opening bell. now, it seems he's merely doing enough to win fights and not trying to actually finish them. as for anderson silva, yes i have to agree, at this point he does seem unstopable. but then again, so did chuck liddel right before the ramapge fight. every fighter i think has a counter out there, someone that for some reason just has their number. they can beat everyone else in the division except that one fighter. we just haven't found anderson silva's. the newest fighter i'm liking is houston alexander. the whole 205 division is really tough right now. alexander is doing well there so far. honestly i think he needs to fight someone like tito or even wanderlai silva. bisping vs. evans should be good. i personally think bisping got lucky with the decision in his fight against hamil. i think evans can beat bisping.

Sylvia is ridiculoius.  I used to think he fought so tentatively because he was just trying to keep his belt, but his style hasn't changed since he lost it.  I've never liked him anyways.

I'm not too sure about Houston Alexander.  He's big and strong, but I question his grappling and sub skills.  His only loss was a submission, and I think if he fights someone with good BJJ, he'll be out.

Bisping should kill Rashad.  The only thing Rashad has got that is better than Bisping is wrestling, which may pose a problem for his since he had such a tough time with Matt Hamil.

You can't argue against Anderson Silva right now.  The guy is on fire.
