Ron paul is all for our constitution which has all but dissapeared. He is technically a Republican, but all I see is that HE is the man we need NOW!
If you like this spread the word. This is what we need to fix this country. Our dollar is tanking. No offence Canada, but our dollar is worth less than Canada's now.
We are going down a dark tunnel. Lets fix it.

Ron Paul for President!

Ron Paul was on Bill Maher's show on HBO in August and is a bright guy.  I actually already voted for him for president once. He was the Libertarian Party candidate in 1984 and I voted for him then.  Since then, my libertarian views have remained constant with regard to civil liberties, but I have become a supporter of expanded government in some areas (health care, for example).

Unfortunately, he is way too logical of a thinker to be elected.  He will not be a corporate whore, so he has no chance to raise enough money for the media to take him seriously.  He does have a HUGE grass-roots organization going -- probably more than any other candidate in the GOP.  He would be the strongest candidate the GOP could offer next year.

No matter what, that last view of the flag waving in the breeze got to me, man I hate when that happens. I agree with most of what he said, thank God that we live in a system where there are people like Mr. Paul who have the freedom to speak their minds. I have been to places in this world where he would have been strung up talking about the government like that. But it is true, I am tired of the crap my taxes pay for that have nothing to do the effective operation of the government and the protection of our people. :bs: Where I work I see a bad future for us if we continue on the path that we are on. Let me tell you folks it is only going to get worse if we dont get off our apothetic rear ends and save our Republic. Thanks for sharing the video. :thumb:

Usually if it sounds to be too good to be true it Usually is.I hate to say it but it's going to take more than one Man (Or Woman) to Change this Country and/or World. It's going to take the House and Senate too. It's Not going to Happen without Electing All new People or another Revolution (or Civil War).A Civil War or Revolution will never Happen because it would turn into Total Anarchy because of the Difference of Strong Beliefs between everyone.

Right now I would Trust a Dirt Poor Farmer to run Our Country than some of these Assholes that know what they (Supposedly) are Doing. Our Founding Fathers Started From Scratch on the Ideal Plan for the Ideal Government that worked Flawlessly in it's Infancy until the Civil War.It still worked Pretty well until Korea but has Slowly Degraded to the Point of what we Have today.

Getting rid of the IRS? Sure I would like to see it but it's one of those Needed Evils that Makes the World Go Around.Without the IRS Where's the Money going to come from for Welfare,Grants,ETC.ETC. I guess they would just have to Come up with Another Agency to do the Same thing only to a Larger Extreme.

All I can say is if I have to vote I'm not going to pick the Best Talking Head.I thought About doing Eenny, meeny, minney, moe on the Right Side but What the Hell One Actor Ran the Country During the 80's.Fred Looks Like a Pretty good Feller too Me.

Politics is a Pretty Complex Subject.Actually It Shouldn't be.The World Should be ran by Everyday People instead of Doctors,Lawyers,Used Car Salesmen ETC. I'm sure it would Take some Education to do the Job but Sometimes Education Lacks Common Horse Sense.

i have to agree with juggy here.  :o in the sense that a degree in ANYTHING does not mean you're smarter than those around you. we have a Manufacturing Engineer at our plant. Not sure how long he went to school. he recently crashed our new, not yet ready for production, $500,000 machine.  :cookoo: :o now, had another cnc operator such as myself been at the controls of this machine when it crashed, all hell would have broken loose and i'd be willing to bet that machinist would have been job hunting by the end of the day. but he's the Engineer, it can't possibly be his fault. it must be a machine malfuntion of some unforseen sort.  :bs:

Really I've worked with too many Overly (Underly?) Educated People so far in my Life.Mostly Engineers that Couldn't stick their Finger in their Arse without somebody Giving them Directions. The First one I worked for in the Heating and Air Trade when I was on Summer Break in High School.I worked tearing down Walk in Coolers with my cousin and a Friend. We had the Job Tearing one down in a Liquor Store. To make a long story short He held me up over one full day wondering how to take the Doors out. :icon_rolleyes: I finally Got up,Grabbed a Screwdriver and Took the frames out in one piece without taking the Doors out. Well He Got Pissed and Stuck me in the Shop Cleaning and Repairing Ancient Air Conditioners for a Motel. :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes: I was Only Making $4.00 an Hour so It didn't take long for Him to "Let me go".My Friend and Cousin wasn't too far out the door Behind me.
We Had Another Cooler to tear out and Replace in a NE Tennessee Regional Bakery. He or the Bakery Owner didn't tell us what to do with the Yeast Vat that was on the Inside. After talking to everyone from them to the Mayor of City Nobody Knew where the Shutoffs for the Yeast were in the Plant.I got pissed off and cut the Lines letting all of the Yeast in all of the lines Drain out in the Floor. Then I done Burnouts with an Electric Forklift in the Middle of it.  We got Banned from Ever Setting foot on their Property Again. :thumb:

My Cousin is Married to a girl that has all kinds of BS Degrees in Education and Engineering.Dad Had Her Believing that if you turned a Halogen Floor Lamp Up side Down that it created Enough Heat to Levitate off of the Floor.

Believe me I'm not Against An Education.I just Believe that you should Have a Mind to Back up the Education.I believe Most Politicians have had the Easy way thru Life.Born into a Job that a Gerbil could do better. At least a Gerbil would Spin it's Wheel without Screwing in Everyone's Life and Making them Miserable.

One good Bit of News I heard the Other day was that they Had Gotten rid of the Illegal Drug Tax Here in the State.Lets say oh you Grow 50 Pot Plants.Lets say you get Caught. Not only can you be Imprisoned for Growing an Illegal Substance and Also Charged with counts of Growing with Intent to resale they could Also Charge you for Tax Evasion for not paying Taxes on it.OK Who in the Hell is going to walk into the Local Court House walk up to the Counter and tell the County Clerk that they wanyed to pay the Taxes on their Crop. :icon_rolleyes: This isn't Just for Mary Jane. This Included Moonshine,Meth,Coke,Prescription Drugs ETC.
Thanks to Someone they finally Realized that the Law was Unconstitutional. :icon_rolleyes:

To me the problem is easy to solve.  Money runs the country.  Institute public financing of campaigns so that politicians on either or all sides answer to NO ONE except John Q. Voter.  No corporate money, no labor union money, just real solutions by people who aren't bought and paid for.  No lobbyist lunches, trips, or payola.

It has nothing to to with education, per se.  Education can only be good.  It has to do with who needs money from whom.  Right now, each party panders to those who give them money, NOT to the voters they allegedly represent.

i would also have to say that our electorial college thingy kinda sucks too. individual votes don't count for as much as they should in my opinion.  seems here lately all you gotta do is get california and texas and florida to vote for you and your in. hell, that's only 3 of the 50 states!  :bs:

Well, you're right that it will take more than one person to change the country.  So where do you start?  At the top?

When Dodge was drowning, they didn't make middle management changes and hope for the best.  They brought in Iaccoca to make changes from the top.  If our country makes changes, it needs to begin from the top.  The effects can trickle down from there.

You call Income Tax a "needed evil?"  It "makes the world go 'round?"  What do you think our country did from 1776 until 1913 for money?  People paid taxes, just not on income.

When the income tax amendment was ratified in 1913, it was set at a rate of 3%.  With all the inflation we've had, it's amazing that some people are taxed at an amazing 50% rate, plus property tax, payroll tax, gas tax, school tax, local taxes, etc, etc, etc.

In 2005, Income tax made up 44% of our overall taxes.  If we nixed income tax that year, our government would still have taken in over $1.5 trillion.  That is approximately the amount our government took in altogether in the year 2000 (including income tax).  That said, you can see how much our spending has increased when we still can't balance our budget and we dig a deeper debt, despite a tremendous increase in taxation.

The bottom line is our country spends too much money on government programs and too much money outside of our country, primarily spreading our military across the world.

The value of our dollar is taken a huge hit and it's really pretty straight forward to see why.  We've:

-increasead spending
-cannot balance the budget, hence we've spent more than we've made
-we continue to make government programs, which require more taxes from the people
-the Federal Reserve just prints money endlessly, reducing the face value of our dollar
-the Fed has no gold to back any money it prints

Most people don't even know that the Federal Reserve is a privately owned bank that prints our nation's money.  It even makes interest on the money it prints!

Our country doesn't have a bright future with everything that is happening, especially economically and regarding our individual freedoms.  Where else can we begin to change it than from the top?

Here's a guy who has pushed for term limits for congressmen (something most Americans would like to see), never voted for pay increases (and even returns a % of his pay every year), wants to reduce our ever growing government and give more power to the states and people, wants to reduce spending and balance our budget, wants to give value back to our dollar...

.. and so many people just say, "He doesn't have a chance, so I probably won't vote for him."

I get frustrated that so many Americans don't open their eyes and they just trust the government is honest and protecting us.  Our government was never meant to grow to this size, and the sad part is it seems like a select few become billionaires because of it.

Frankie, instead of incessantly bitching about American, why don't you just f%$king move.  Go!!! Get the f%$k out!!!
You call yourself a veteran, but I've never met a veteran with your sorry ass outlook.  Even those who don't agree with the current administration will be the first to admit that it is still the greatest country on earth.  These veterans DO something about it.  They put their time to good use by campaigning for the politician they believe would be best for their country, and find other venues through which to make a difference.   Gosh, kinda like Antibody.
You're just a washed up has-been that's lost the true will to live.  f%$k off and Die you slimey little twit.

Ok Ron Paul not too bad a choice he is the lesser of some evils but his attempts to appeal to the libs by trying to force early withdrawal from Iraq via cancelling funding does not sit well with me.
I really like Rudy as an individual and respect his ability to take command and make decisions. I disagree on his stance over firearms and tax poilicies.
McCain, OK the man is a war hero, unfortunately he is even further left of Rudy on gun control he will not get my primary vote.
Thompson I like his values and ethics. Unfortuneately when he served as a senator his career was lackluster, some even called him lazy. I believe he has a work ethic and it will come out if he is elected Thompson will get my primary vote.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

CasiUSA

Eh, I believe he's a better candidate than most of the republicans out there, but I can't really agree with him on everything. Do I not like paying taxes? Of course, but I know they are necessary- just like the tons of other things I don't like doing like cleaning my home, going to work every day and paying my bills.
I like his stance on Privacy and the "Patriot" Act, and the war. Having read his platform on his website, I found a few of the issues he's peddling a bit weird. The "Home Schooling Issue" just seems like a wierd sell, and I personally am not a fan. I think Home schooling breeds narrow-mindedness and socially maladjusted kids- the issue is fixing the school system.
If it's one thing I can wholeheartedly support him on, I definitely agree that spending is out of control, and that is both ruining our economy and increasing taxes. The amount of war spending is nauseating. I believe in social reform programs, but I agree that they need to be re-vamped to prevent/minimize abuse. These programs are all so mismanaged, that it is no wonder they seem so ineffective.
