Riding Technique: Braking in Turns?

Yea the most most most important thing if you exceed your corner entry speed is...
1.) dont panic
2.) the bike will probably lean a fair bit futher than you have ever dared to lean it before, so LOOK where you want to go you will probably make it through.

I did the diagram below from SRT a few weeks back in a stinker of a corner, even though I was already slow and careful with my entry, it was a blind and nasty decreasing radius canyon right turn. SRT is an awesome book, it's my bible, trail braking works, NOT hitting the rear brake in the middle of a too fast turn while leaned over, maybe that's the confusing part?
Pointing your chin at your desired exit also helps your eyes stay level and on target as well just as a matter of course and especially in an emergency... and the bike will turn tighter even easier. Turns something scary into something amazingly instructive, and later on lots of fun.
