I have been doing very well lately not getting offended, that being said...
I get to catch about 45 minutes a day of Rush when I am on lunch. The phony soldier comment was part of a monolouge which I did get to hear originally. The entire Monolouge needed to be heard to place that 1 sentence into perspective. IMHO mediamatters deliberately took that sentance out of context and delivered it to the majority leader

Read the Media Matters site report of this -- they have several paragraphs of Rush bloviating prior to and after the sentence in question.
