Buddha: On the GS carbs, there is a nipple on the back side (as well as on the top of the carbs.) The ones on the back of mine are not connected to anything. (I have converted the petcock to gravity flow and was thinking those provide the vacuum.) Do I need to simply put a cover over those 2 nipples on the back of the carbs? Top ones are good and have covers.

Other than that, the only other place I can think of an air leak are those darn tiny o-rings at the top of the carbs. I have a couple small ones but not sure if that could be causing the problem or not.

Cables are good and not binding that I can tell but I will check again. (Don't have a choke cable that is correct length so running without one for now.)

Alright, some more bike whoring here. I mounted the D&D Exhaust (Semi-Temporary) by using some of the bendable, galvanized steel exhaust pipe from the local Autozone. I took the muffler to a local shop but they really didn't want to mess with it at the end of a long day. I wanted to see if it made a real difference in the way the bike ran so I slid on over to the AZ, and sized up the tubing. Took it home and I was quite surprised at how much I like the looks of it.

And to top it off, the bike runs much better. I still get some popping and sputtering between shifting but not like without it. Anyway, I thought I would share with you all my hillbilly homegrown goodness I like to call, insufferable DIY.

I actually think it looks pretty sweet from the pictures; I'm not sure how good it looks in person though.

I like the cover you got for your veypor, is it brushed aluminum or chrome?

Not many people have heard of the veypor but I love mine.

We should compare 0-60,1/4 mile and stopping distance (I will totally beat you  :icon_lol:)

Yes you would.  :D I haven't had the chance to play with any of the track / timing features yet. I'm still getting comfortable on the bike but I plan on doing so. When I do, I'll shoot you my times.

That cover is from veypor. If you go on their site, they have an online store where you can purchase it. Stupid me, I got it yesterday and thought I was supposed to take the black case off and put the guts inside the aluminum case. DOH!, the whole thing fits inside. It just seems to provide better mounting options I think.
