since every state has an archery season no matter what you're hunting i think i may purchase a crossbow for hunting. now, who uses em and what do you use and why?

I have a crossbow or 2, there like Legal to own , but not to shoot anything ,

Ones a 15 pound Pistol Crossbow
Ones a 150 Pound Crossbow , That fires HUGE bolts , its a fun toy

Bow hunting is exactlly that in Oklahoma, crossbows are a big no no for hunting here, or at least for those who are not physically disabled.

You will feel better carrying a proper longbow with a quiver of arrows strapped to your back and a hunting knife to your belt.

Some states do allow crossbows during rifle season. Check the regs to be sure.

i do know that here i can use a crossbow during archery season but i'm not sure bout gun season. archery season is longer anyhow. gun season is only a week here.

i'm trying to get an idea as to brand names etc that you use personally or have friends or family that use etc. i've googled a few names and of course they all say they are the best.  the top 3 hits i get when i just google "crossbows" are , horton, barnett and excalibur.
