The first episode was aired tonight on BBC at 9.00.

They just got from John O' Groats to the Euro tunnel. I love this series!

All I get is the BBC news on my PBS station, which is fine because I like the BBC news. I will have to wait and get the DVD too. I liked the first one, I got it before I bought my bike. So it kind of helped me to get a motorcycle, that and the Motorcycle Diaries.  :thumb:

Oooo your missing out so bad!

I watched the first one Long Way Round. and got the DVD. I also got The Paris Dakar Rally which was done by Charlie Boorman (Ewan's Best mate who is in long way round and down) and he did the paris dakar rally with the same film crew as the long way round so that was just like the long way round adventure in terms of how amazing it was.

Now Long Way Down is on. Soooo Good.

No its a world thing but (for once) we get the series first.

A Little info then.

Ewan McGreggor (Star Wars) and Charly Boorman (other films and Ewan's best mate) decided to ride round the world on motorcycles, for their own enjoyment but then turned it into a bit more, they are filmed by a selected film team and support team that travel in 2 support vehicles with them, and also one other guy on a bike to film them as they travel. The key part is this isn't just a film starry thing they do grueling stuff and ride on their own, they don't ride with the support team (they just follow) and they struggle on their own just the both of them to go through some of the hardest terrain in the world through loads of countries. They linked their ride with Unicef as well to raise money and do charity things on their way. It is basically a story of their adventure around the world. So they did that and it aired on the BBC here in the UK and there was a book and it came out on DVD. It is the best motorcycle show ever, full of highs and lows and you get so involved because its so personal (they leave all their family behind and everything)

Then Ewan had a break for a year and Charly Boorman (with the same team) did the Paris Dakar Rally - abit different to what the Long Way Round was about but just as good and the same adventure. Now they have just completed the Long Way Down. John O' groats to Cape Town and everywhere in between. And now this series is airing on british TV and its fantastic just as good as both the other ones.

You really have to watch it you can buy it on dvd cheap now from amazon and stuff to see the first one (long way round) and second (paris dakar rally). Im sure the other American's will let you know just how good it is!
