Another (newbie?) question

I searched Stabil and didn't get the answer I was looking for. I just filled my gas tank to the top (2.45 gallons) and added 1 oz of stabil into the tank. Should I have added more stabil, seeing as there was about another 2.5 gallons of gas in there already? (Directions on stabil is 1 oz of stabil for 2.5 gallons of gas).. Or will this suffice for the amount need to properly let it sit for the winter? (Hopefully I still have some more weeks of riding before the final winterization.. but this is just in case the weather turns foul)

Sorry if this is a newbie question..

The amount of stabil needs to be for the entire tank so put another oz in there. Also remember to run the engine with the stabil in the gas before letting it sit so the treated gas gets in the carbs.

About how long should I run it for?

Just take it for a quick couple of miles round the block or to the shops or something. It doesn't take too long to get the gas around at all really but you want to make sure its properly through.
