One of my friends owns one, and it's a rocket.  He also wears a helmet, exactly for the reasons you mentioned.  The best video, by far, is the Jeremy Clarkson one.  Keep an eye on his cheeks...

I don't think he's let anyone drive it besides himself and the Brammo (US Importer) engineer.  He's running the K20A instead of the Ecotec, and putting out about 300 bhp.  0-60 in 2.9ish.  I have yet to get a ride (though he's cool with giving rides), but that's coming up soon.  I'm still high off a ride in a Tesla a few weeks ago

Oh so he's got the UK version instead of the Atom 2 US version, or did he just swap the engine. either way its a sweet ride

They imported maybe 10 or so Atoms here with the Honda engine, but the rest are Ecotec.  He just got lucky with his timing, I guess.
