Came across this and thought some may be interested... Seems legit and more affordable than other options.

The ballasts are going to add weight and be ungainly, especially on "E" models :dunno_white: But if you really want HID's and have an "F" model it could be a viable option.

A ballast for this thing weighs like 2-3 OZ. yea SPC terry, you're gonna feel that weight ... what, super size my happy meal, 39 cents ... OK yea ... sure.
OK now Boston - get a 50 watter, you only need 1, so buy a car item and get someone else to split with you. Ebay is cheaper I think. Seen it for ~80 or so total cost. I ahve been looking into it seriously, and my seca is as bright as an agarbatti AKA incense stick.
Cool.

Hmm, only 13 posts, and the link provided doesn't have an address, phone number, or give even a general idea where they are located.  Has anyone bought from them before ?

Ran a traceroute just for the heck of it. Things end up somewhere in Chicago.

GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

that kit doesn't include a projector housing. You need a projector housing otherwise you will blind the !@#$ out of on coming cars. More info here.

Okay, I don't want to get into the pros and cons of projectors because I myself have custom built projectors heads on my 02 Galant with hid. but if you aim the heads properly its not really that big of a deal. I really don't know how much adjustment us E people have other than left or right. :dunno_white:

Us E people have up,down, left and right adjustment. My crap was once shining on my front fender.I had to make new brackets for my fairing to get it right.

HID"S on and E isn't a big deal.No projector is needed.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

HID's on regualr will prolly look like you just installed 200 watters I guess. Well, with projectors, it looks like you're like projecting sheite.
OK I'll do regular HID's on seca and see.
BTW, how you make a projector ??
Cool.

Figure out the proper refraction point(s) for the focus and intensity you desire out of the bulb then machine/manufacture a corresponding projector housing based off those calculations?????

IF that link is a valid seller...  then that's a GREAT deal...  The HID kit I purchased for my first R6 was $145 shipped...  came with TWO ballasts and TWO bulbs...  But they weren't the HI/LO bulbs...  the cheapest I've found those were about $200

2007 YZF-R6 - Purchased 7/03/07
2004 YZF-R6 - Stolen 5/25/07
2004 GS500f - Sold to Bluelespaul

I believe the ebay ones for H4's move the bulb. They look like they'd cost ~100 including shipping. You can use a H7 bulb too if I remember, but its a single filament bulb. So high beam is out. if you got inspection in your state, say bye bye to that.
Cool.

Suppose when folks have completed this HID upgrade they can post some pictures ? Like from a dark night on a country road same location ?

It's very difficult to tell a difference from garage shots. Oh, and if you can find someone with a camera and manually set the exposure and duration for BEFORE and AFTER shots ?

Hope you don't blind grandma with those things :D
