Has anyone seen one of these yet?  I don't really like it all that much, but I thought I'd throw it out here for those that like cartoon bikes.

The only 'real' difference I can see is the SSSA on the Honda.

Don't like that styling too much and that gutter pipe   :icon_confused:

What do you guys think about the new CBR1000RR ?

At first it was ugly but now I like it

CB1000R  - Love the styling of that bike, its drop dead gorgeous in the flesh, not so much in the picture though. I agree its only let down is the funny exhaust

CBR1000RR - Not sure about the styling i like it in some ways i don't in other and think i would need to spend more time looking at it in the flesh to know whether i really liked it or not, again its let down is the exhaust.

CB1000R - Steel frame or aluminum ??
Looks like they made a frame just for it. I wonder if it wouldn't have been cheaper to do the same frame as the CBR1000RR.
Anyway, the non detuned motor is all great, but essentially the standard bike buying public is looking for the same good hardwars as the high end, and none of the hassles. AKA, the good forks, the good brakes, FI if that is what the regular model has, and most of all, the aluminum frame. Like street fightering a mid 90's GSXR. But of course the 90's GSXR had a robust aluminum frame, not the paper thin sheite they have now a days. I think a replica of a 900RR without a fairing should work well. or an 99-00 R1 replica without plastic, or 96-99 GSXR 750 without plastic. Not a funky, made specially for it frame and FE and sheite that doesn't cross into other common stuff.
Cool.
Srinath.
