I have had the vance pipe on now for a little while and its rubbing pretty good against the center stand when its in the up position.  For some reason now I feel the stand hitting the back of my foot when I ride now.  I never noticed it before.  What do I do for clearance other than to take it off?

Does the V&H system even have a bump stop for the center stand to rest on?  I was always under the impression that that was one of the remove the center stand systems.  I could be wrong.

Take it off before you grind it off.   :icon_mrgreen:

halfway there  :icon_rolleyes:, but taking it off would be too much of an inconvenience

Looks like I'm gonna have to take it off.  I filed down the fine point of where it was hitting the pipe.  I really like having the stand there to work on it and stuff, but looks like its gonna have to go.

You could weld the stopper from the original system onto the new one  :dunno_white:

Mine came with a little metal plate that you bolt onto the centerstand mount; it stops the centerstand from coming up too far.

What he said. I had the same problem as you bomb. I took the centerstand off and just put it back on to do maitanance. It's not THAT big of a pain in the ass. Well, it is but there's worse in life.
