I've finally graduated and before I start looking for a full time gig, I'm dying to do a trip. I'm buying some new gear and prepping my bike right now for a nice long trip. I'm thinking somewhere around 10-14 days, I'll be setting out from New Orleans. I figure I'll have to stay South of the Mason Dixon line because it will be too chilly any further North since I'll be camping along the way. I'm thinking about 1) riding along I-10 to San Diego to visit my sis or 2)  maybe riding up the Nachez Trace and then heading to the Atlantic or 3)Heading down to the Florida Keys.

I really love the mountains so thats what I'm thinking so far but I'm kind of torn. I can't head up to Deals Gap because of snow ect. So anyway, I was hoping for some good ideas. Anyone have some must see places or things to do or great places to stay or camp along the way?

Check out Pine Mountain in GA.  They have great camping in the state park and the road from the top of the mountain to the bottom is tons of fun.

There is only one thing better than prepping the bike and setting off on a long trip, well at my age it's a pretty close call. Dress the part and enjoy it, i try not to set myself targets just follow the road and stop / stay wherever looks interesting, have fun.  :thumb:
