rear link question

the 06 gs I bought was lowered and the dealer said they have stock links to raise it up.  I picked them up and they appear to be the same length as the ones on the bike now, I havent taken anything loose i was holding them beside the ones on the bike.  The one on there now at the lower hole has two slots and the ones I picked up yesterday have only one hole.  If they are the same length they are lowering links also right? Also what will have to be done to the front when I raise up the back?  I know the questions may seem stupid to you guys but Im still learning.  Thanks

Sounds to me like the links on it now have both the option of stock ride height or a lowered ride(thats why there are 2 holes). Hence why if you hold the current link up there they are the same length.

Sounds like you can return them to the dealer.

the link on the bike is already at the longest of the two adjustments, so I guess I  have 2 lowering links

A standard link is 7 1/16" between hole centers, check the ones you got from the dealer.  Is there a part # on them?

32f in the only thing on the bones, this may be a stupid question but the ones on the bike now have 2 holes with the bottom hole being used now, does longer=lower? the dealer gave me the new dogbones so I wont be out anything if I can use the ones on the bike now.

Yes, longer links lower the bike so you could raise your bike by moving to the shorter holes.  Maybe the dealer gave you some links from a different model bike, check the center distance between the holes.
