WTB Car or Truck

So I decided that I'd spend my savings to be debt-free instead of buying a nice car. I have $500 - $1000 left for some kind of car/truck if anyone has something laying around that runs/drives. It only has to last me a year - then I'll be living on an island and in med school so I just couldn't see the point in spending so much - especially when my GS gets me around for about $5/week in gas.
