Anyone know how to change keyboard macros/hotkeys?

I have one of those keyboards that has the row of extra buttons up top that'll open like your email and ebay and stuff like that...I want to know how to change them.  Anyone know?  Can't find it online...may not be searching for the right stuff though.

I will say that online I did find a thing from MS that says to click start ~ control panel ~ printers and other hardware ~ keyboard ~ properties ~ buttons...then select and change from there.  But I have nothing past keyboard properties.  There's no "buttons" button or tab.

If those are reprogramable (which they usually are), there will be a compaq utility of some sort..  try Compaq.com to download the software if you don't have it.'

And choose the HP Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Driver Update.  It specifically mentions a missing buttons tab in the keyboard properties after applying a Windows XP security update.  Could be your problem right there!

I have navigated the Compaq/HP site too many times searching for drivers and updates.  It's INCREDIBLY poorly laid out and difficult to search.  I repair old Compaq Presario laptops as a hobby and sell them (or parts) on eBay, so I've looked there often and it still sucks.

Now that the question has been answered I would wonder why you would even want the things. When I first buy a new PC I dump the OEM install scratch load the OS and only get the drivers necessary to make the ssytem run. Keyboard drivers etc... are fluff and I hate the damn things anyway. The windows OS is bad enough as a resource hog stuff like that only makes it worse IMHO.

I use my hotkeys @ work... Its nice, in the morning I come in and hit 4 keys and all the programs I need for the day load
