Hello!

Now, this is not for my GS, but a friends Bandit GSF400.
We cleaned the carbs and install them on the bike.
The bike starts revving at 3k rpm for 2 - 3 seconds and then jumps to 10k - 12k rpm for a while and then back at 5k - 6k.
This thing circles through 12k and 6k irregularly.

The throttle valve wasn't totally closed (throttle free play problem) , but didn't turned while the engined revved.

Opened the carbs again and checked the diaphragms... they were ok!

Any ideas what might cause the problem???

Possible Air Leak Between the Carbs and Cylinder or Running Lean. You still could have some Passages Blocked making it run Lean. One test you can do to Check for an Air leak is to Squirt WD40 Around the Carb Spigiots if the Idle Changes or it Smokes a Bit out of the Pipe you've found your Leak.
If it's Not Broke Modify it.

It probably WAS that, in conjunction with a blocked throttle cable. Now the bike runs ok, but has strange behavior when idling. I will probably have to check for the air leak now.

Thanks Jughead!!
