question brake bleeding?

OK I went on Vacation and got deathly ill, came back home and decided it was a good time to replace my brake fluid, everything went well, no air bubbles, new fluid looks great. But when I put the dust cover back on the brake bleeder screw I noticed a tiny amount of hydraulic fluid come up from the seated thread . I know I did'nt unseat the threads because I only cracked open the bleed screw just enough for the old stuff to flow out.
So this is what I figured that ...there was alittle fluid still in the hollow of the screw and it was forced out down and out the little ports. Funny though the screw is tightly seated... I cant afford to break another screw or bolt. Rear brake went great

ah yes, my question is whether this is normal after changing the fluid? Or do you think there is a leak in the thread somehow? I know it is a dumbass question but it is the first time I have replaced the brake fluid. The brakes feel a lot better and the color is good.

It's normal for me to see some fluid around the bleed screw for a hundred miles or so. Maybe it's expansion from heat, vibration, or just all the bouncing around from the swingarm. Got me.

Mine doesn't show any sign of fluid after 100 miles or so.

If yours does, I'd wonder about the seal at the bleed screw.

Thanks OhGood, I thought it might be normal. I asked this same question in another forum and I got a reply that said by using the "open the bleeder and squeeze the lever, close the bleeder and let go the lever" method, brake fluid gets around the threads of the bleeder valve with all the action going on. It was totally normal. I am planning on going to braided brake lines and I found these speed bleeders

Oh yea speed bleeder ... lets see here, for over 75 years people ahve been bleeding brakes and now someone genius invents this and unloads a couple 100 on some schmucks ... nice scam.
If there is a litte more than 1-2 micron diameter air bubble in that bleed screw area, it will usually not open the ball valve. Then the little bubbles will also find their way to the top of the brake system and usually work into the master cylinder quite harmlessly. I usually bleed and ride for a few days, and do a quick bleed again. The bouncing and shaking will loosen the air into the banjo bolts or the bleed screw or the master cyl. No problem.

Seemed like a good thing first time I saw them. I mean, I know how to put a tube on the bleed screw and put paper towels around it to prevent eating paint and all. And since you only bleed once every 8 weeks or so, it's not much of a hassle.

Srinath- are you saying you don't like them, or you just being grumpy  ?
