never put much faith in radar detectors, much easier and cheaper to go the speed limit IMHO.  :thumb:

Jammers, that's where it's at.................course any jammer that works worth half a shaZam! wont be FCC compliant.

the only way I see them working is if thy are using a moving. Radar to get a feel for traffic and then locking in on a car with the handheld. If they use onlythe handheld by the time that beep goes off it already has ur speed unless it was locking in on another car.and don't forget visual estimates and pacing also hold up in court

I have had radar detectors in my cars for years, and they have saved me from more than one ticket.  I don't make a practice of going grossly over the speed limit, but for all of those times that you are "going with the flow of traffic", which tends to be 10-15mph over on the interstate, it's good to know there is a cop sitting in the median ahead.  The key is to use a good radar detector AND common sense, keep your eyes peeled for places that cops can easily hide and don't speed in places like neighborhoods where you are putting people in danger.  I have only been pulled over for speeding once in 10 years of driving, nuff said.

how are you so sure he was locking in on your car? If you don't bring any attention onto yourself you have a good chance of not getting pulled over no matter what you have hanging in your windshield.

but if it makes you feel better to have a radar detector then by all means get one  :thumb:
