Packing a race exhaust

I bought an M4 CF race pipe for my bike and want to install before riding season. My question is, is it possible to pack these strait-through cans if they turn out to be too loud? I don't think this will be an issue, but I thought I would ask so I am ready if it does. I have a V&H supersport on now, so it shouldn't be much louder, if at all.

They have a perforated screen tube with the packing around it, surrounded by the outer sleeve. There is not a way to add packing to the inside of the tube. You can add a baffle to deflect the flow into the packing. A perforated screen cone inside the tube is another option. Yosh did that with their Zyclone (street) models.

Easy to take apart, just drill out the rivets... unless M4 has changed their assembly from how the couple I have are put together.

The packing is very important with a CF sleeve. If it is worn or missing, the sleeve can get damaged. CF sleeved cans should be repacked every 10-15k miles.
Common sense in not very common.

Can you tell by looking if they need re-packed? Without taking it appart 1st? I have a Yosh that came w/ my project would it be "re-packable" ??

Sometimes you can see if it does. Take a mirror and stick it down inside the can. Look for voids and burnt packing.

I see what your saying, packing would just fly out with that type of silencer. I was looking for awhile and can't find any info in baffles. I'll just put it on and see how it sounds. Hopefully awesome.
My next issue is now finding someone to make Stainless Steel or Titanium headers to match.
I already contacted Jardine, but they don't return e-mails apparently. I also tried Nexus, but it was over $300 just for the headers.
I might try my local blacksmith. Any suggestions?

it probly won't be too loud. when I made a new can for my Vance & hines I repacked it  and it make a decent amount of difference as far as cleaning up the sound goes, it is still loud but a more richer tone. it is super easy to . take off the end pull the perf tube out, wrap it and put it back in, done!
