 :), Hey Srinath, Kerry,

I've found out the GS 500, I got a great deal on was a salvage Bike From Houstin. And the problems I was having just did not add up? The dealer said they rebuilt the carbs?
Rejet carbs for the F1s muffler? & me finding dried mud in the carbs & air box,& in turn signels, The dealer did put allot of new parts on the GS 1999.so for 1295.00. I fill OK-
with what I got ! As some of you may know  I'm the guy that rolled his fingers into the chain & back sprocket while cleaning the rusted chain WD-40 steel wool.  :nono:So I
almost lost my thumb!! & the tooth on sprocket went in the bottom of my pointer finger chipping the bone, he said it would not bother anything. My thumb the Doc sowed it back on :icon_rolleyes: Thank you god!! for good doc's. This happened a few months back in the middle of the take apart of my Bike!. I had got parts from this forum, But could not work on my Bike for 3-4 Months bumber..
So I now have no filing in the fingers yet, But hope in time it will get better, In the past weeks I've been working one handed putting carbs back together :) :icon_lol:..

And at 8:30pm tonight Austin time my yellow GS fired up after a little twinking, the F1s has a good sound  :icon_mrgreen:.
So $70.00 in parts and so far She's good from 1100 rpm up to 7000 smooth! With a shop fan on it I did not want to push it..
thanks to this site things worked out :icon_mrgreen:    [p51mustang]

Glad to hear you got it running. I can't imagine the pain of getting you fingers caught in the sprocket. I remember reading about a guy who was cleaning his chain with the bike running and it in gear, you can guess what happened. By the way srinath goes by "the buddha" now.
