'tis the season...

...to watch out for inattentive drivers.  I went out riding last weekend and saw a BMW dualsport down with a minivan's bumper sitting in the middle of the road   :oand several emergency vehicles sitting around.  The riders were taken off in an ambulance, and I heard after the fact that one of the riders was unresponsive at the scene.    

I heard from witnesses that the van pulled into the bike's path...

Be aware out there, and ride as if your invisible.

Indeed.  watch out.  Spring has that effect on people.  I ride past the cherry blossoms in DC every morning, and you KNOW that half the drivers on the road won't be watching where they are going in a few weeks 

Remember; when you are on the bike, you are invisible and everyone is trying to kill you.

Tis the season when the population of this island goes from 40,000 to around 200,000............all tourists, none of em paying attention, none of em with a clue where they're goin.
