Which performs better? I know the Progressives are cheaper, but......
No matter how hot or how gorgeous she is, just remember, someone out there is over her sh*t!

I don't have the time of the money to test both :nana:

I've wondered about this too; one GS500 racer (KevinC?) complains that the Progressives behave "strangely"; I assume he doesn't like the nonlinear compression.  Dave Johnson (?) in the Racer's Corner also uses Racetech, and we _know_ he's a penny-pincher :) .  But people who use Progressives on the street swear by them.

Maybe one reason that street riders seem to like Progressives is that they handle big bumps well (driveway aprons, potholes); while the racers like Racetech, because they give better feedback, (and racers rarely need to deal with potholes!).  This is just my theory: if you want a good feel to take the twisties perfectly, then maybe Racetech is the way to go.  If you have to ride a third of your daily commute over a moonscape, then Progressives may be the way to go.

I haven't upgraded yet, so this is just speculation.  Maybe I'll try ItSeemedLikeAGoodIdea's new Progressives first :) .
You cannot escape our master plan!

Yea a lot of racers very much prefer straight rate, Progressive feels better on the street. Just IMHO.
Cool.

from what I've gathered reading about them here RaceTech's are better suited (or are preferred) by racers. Lets them upgrade to emulators later. Personally I agree that the Progressives are good enough for the street, maybe better because of how they handle bumps etc, as mentioned above. If you ever plan to race or do track days I'd suggest racetech.

I asked this question a while ago, and got some great info.  Here's the link to my thread:

You should also just do a search on racetech or progressive.  There are countless other threads on this subject as well, most of which contain good info/opinions/experiences.
