The people who I usually ride with are generally on BMW's and Ducatis, so theft is a non-issue where i park..  :). However.. kepping up with them is more difficult

Dude, if someone tried to steal my Duc it would be a very violent ensuing few moments.  On the topic, a larger majority than one would think of the Duc forum I belong to concealed carry in some manner while riding.  The subject is a little rough as there is no 'good' place to carry on your body and carrying on the bike brings the problem of public attention when you remove it when leaving the bike.  The only time I've carried on the bike is when I'm going to a range.  The thought of going down and landing on the weapon brings on thoughts of all sorts of painful injuries even just from the pressure of the metal if you impact on that side.

For home protection, put it in your yard, and utilize this anti theft device.

When out, keep it covered with something like an old goldwing cover, very few people want to steal an old busted up goldwing. unlike a hot lookin new sportier bike.

but remember, short of LIVING on your bike, there is NOTHING that will stop a thief who truly wants it.

I strongly recommend full coverage insurance, and make sure you've got theft coverage.
looking for a new vehicle again.
