Let me say, I've looked, and the info may be there, but I can't find it.

I went to a K&N lunchbox, 40 pilots, 140 mains, 2.5 turns out, 1 #4 washer.  (stock muffler).  Just completed the petcock mod to remove the vaccum which makes this thing sound and run great under power.

1 problem.  The bike seems to now have trouble starting out.  Like 0 power from idle to 2,500-3,000 rpms.  I have trouble sometimes getting it to go at these rpms and it seems to bog down until I clutch in, rev up, clutch out.  Bike had no problems with this prior to mod so I'm thinking (hard) it has to be some adjustment in the carb but I'm not smart enough to know which part.

pilot or main or washer??

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

I'm no expert but I would try 2 turns and 3 just to see what happens because it's easy and quick. Then I'd take the washers out and try 2, 2.5, and 3 turns again.  If that doesn't work..  2 washers and repeat.

I'm sure someone with more tuning knowledge will chime in and be of more help.   I just ordered the lunchbox and jets myself so keep us updated on what works and what doesn't

Stock pipe and K&N has been the "waterloo " for a lot of people.
The rest all seems fine but for these 2 -
Floats ? where are they set at ??
Then try 145 mains. Why mains - a main does affect the low end also. Its just not the controlling factor, it also affects higer up, but there you may be a bit lean. That and this will get fixed at 1 shot.
Cool.
