Fuel Hose question (yes, I looked at Kerry's diagram)

So as I'm redoing the fuel lines I notice that I'm missing two vent hoses, the one from the upper T that is supposed to go over the airbox and (between it and the battery box) and the airbox drain hose. Do I need these? It seems to me that if they are for venting then I really don't need the hoses but I'm not a mechanic or an engineer.

Yes, unless you want to have the occasional wet spot (heh heh) on the motor from venting.
