Aftermarket LED Signals

I looked in the wiki but could not find a install guide for LED signals, I know I need some sort of resistor right? Any guidance would be appreciated

what led's are you trying to change ? Led in gauges? in Turns Sigtnals, in Tail light...??

as for changing LEd in turns signal and tailight, you can use a resistor to slow the blinking, I have personally not done so with mine, and there is not ill effect (unless your local police/inspection man checks for it)

a resistor is one way, or you can go to autozone and get a $5 electronic flasher relay to replace the stock one. it will flash the same frequency not matter the lowered resistance.

the led's draw much less current, and along with a LED brake light you can make it a little easier on the charging system.

now, when LED headlights are finally affordable... .mmmmmmm

I was refering to turn signals, I am thinking about getting something smaller for a more streamlined effect, here in So. Florida no one really uses their signals, just dont want to ride without them. I had heard that a ressitor is needed, is this something I can pick up at Radio shack or maybe ebay?

how is that frank when I tried some led turn signals they just turned on and off but didnt flash. now I have another relay from auto zone so maybe I can try some now .

They should always flash, the r1 tail light i had flashed , but the UK law says they cant flash more than 60-80 times a minute , so u get a resistor to slow the Flash rate down to a around 60 a minute

If you are installing led turn signals it can be a fun and interesting project. If you go to the topic of turn signal woes you can see some of my issues that I had.

I had to put in a kurykurin load adjustor, a resistor like they are saying above, I also had to take out  the turn signal reminder light out and they work like a dream and look awesome (I have bought a diode for the turn signal light so I'm hoping to get that back going). I guess I should download the pics and write up how I installed them but between work, three days of physical therapy, and mutliple doctor's visits I'm beat. but, I'll get to it I promise.
