Hello.

I have a 2001 GS500 with about 5k miles. I just noticed that when I lean the bike to the left or right just a bit something starts making ticking noise in there. Any ideas what that could be? I am very new to motorcycles.

The cams will do that. Nothing to worry about.
Common sense in not very common.

Cool, thanks! Found my bike toppled over a few days ago and I thought I started hearing new sounds, but I guess that one is normal))

I had a clicking sound and it turned out to be a bad chain. It did it in curves while accelerating. Also bad wheel bearings will do the same.

Dgyver is the man so check his suggestion first.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

If your chain isn't tight it will do that when you turn. Check your chain
