yyaah so i bought the Yoshimura TRS Slip-On pipe for 318 dollars from starcycle.com ( though you can now buy it for about 290 from ebay. dang!) Sounds nooice. I took off the low volume insert and now my bike has a nice deep rumble.

Love it,  good bye sewing machine! However I do feel the lean stock jetting when riding and would recommend rejetting if you get this pipe... I can literally feel the amount of wrist twisting I need to get the bike to do what I want. Rejetting would smooth all that out.

Installation was a snap. I took off the entire exhaust then pencil marked where I needed to cut and hacksawed off the original exhaust. ( Oh I also painted the original headers with high temperature black enamel...looks better no more nasty lookin pipes...recommended!) My buddy's dremmel kit was useful for smoothing out the rough edges of my hacksaw job.

All and all though not a bad time it took only a couple of hours and I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy out there.

never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly... or 10 mph over the speed limit if you like your license.

No welding required! All I used was a hacksaw, a dremmel to sand down the rough edges and wrenches.

But....This thread is worthless without a sound clip!  :flipoff:  :icon_mrgreen:

Damn yall whine! Here is a tinypic vid of how it sounds. I made it short because I do have neighbors. It gets louder when I actually ride but it is not an obnoxiously loud like a harley.  http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=238x1j&s=3

The new mid-pipe just slides over the header pipe. Just make sure to cut where they tell u to cut and file down any welding bumps so it slides over.
