More leg room for passengers?

My girlfriend has pretty long legs and riding on the GS for more than thirty minutes or so gets uncomfortable for her (because she's kinda folded up). Is there anything that can be done to the bike to help that? It doesn't look like the foot pegs can be lowered any because of the exhaust system... I thought about having the seat reupholstered to raise it a few inches, but I think that might look stupid and might affect balance.

Anyone know how other sport bikes compare as far as passenger peg height go? Are they all about the same?

Thanks for any input...

Most other sport bikes are much much worse. They are almost vestigital...

Could she put her feet on the outside of your pegs?

When I've been on the back of my gs I'm sitting fairly comfortably, for as small as the bike is.  A slightly taller pillion seat would possibly give a little more leg room.  I've seen little gel seat pads that you can strap on to a motorcycle seat without having to change the seat out completely.

When I'm on the back of my friend's gsxr600, I am in pretty close to a racing tuck lol.  I scoot my rear back farther and rest my elbows on my knees.  I sit up a bit more if we're putting thru town, but on the back roads here it's tuck and go.

A friend once described all sportbike pillion seats as "hockey pucks".  The gixxer's not that bad.
I'm 5'5".
*why bother stereotyping?  There are plenty of reasons to dislike folks on an individual basis.*

I've heard of people letting their passenger use the front pegs, when the driver is using the highway pegs (just watch-out for the exhaust: she'd want to put her heel on the front pegs, not her instep).

But then you'd need highway pegs; Hepco makes a crash-bar that would look OK with aftermarket cruiser highway pegs mounted on it.  But with some creativity (and maybe a welder), I'm sure you could fasten some highway pegs onto even the Suzuki crash bars... or, if the location is right, just screw a bracket onto one of the engine mount bolts.
