I am trying to install the amperite stop alert modulator. I have tried 3 people who all own bikes and contacted the manufacturer and tried every which way i know how to wire this thing but i can't get it to work! Please help!

The instructions are one page - http://www.amperite.com/Uploads/Stop-Alert%202%20&%202M.pdf (the M model)
has anyone ever installed one of these before? the claims are that it's so easy...i thought i was pretty wiring savvy and so are my friends - but this is ridiculous!

i have cut the wires so much to try different configurations that i've had to pretty much extend them all.

for reference - the blue wire going up to the top of the picture out of view is connecting directly to the white wire with black stripe (stop lamp) wire.
Sorry if the pic isn't formatted right - i wanted to get this posted asap - it's been driving me crazy not getting it to work!

I've blewn my main fuse - had it not work - and work normally - but no pulse like it's supposed to.
the way it is wired now it works just as if i had nothing connected to it.

From what I understand, you need to connect the white with black stripe to the top terminal of the unit (top in your picture, you have it right already).

Your left (middle) terminal should go to the white with black stripe like you have it.

Finally, your last (bottom) terminal should be connected to the black wire with the white stripe.  it's the one with the terminal on the side of the bulb socket.  You have to leave the black wire connected to the bulb socket in addition to the bottom terminal.  I dunno where that bottom terminal is connected to right now, but it should be connected to ground.

It sounds like you'd already tried it, I dunno, gl.

this is going to sound stupid but is your battery dead? I went through a similar situation concerning the tailight but a different type then yours and it ended up being I left the headlight on too long and drained the battery.

Is it LED? If it is is it getting enough resistance to it? I had that issue with turn signals that were supposed to be supper easy but took me forever!

It's not LED ---(acutally after i get this successfully installed I'd like to add an led strip) - it's sitting next to the bike getting cobwebs while i figure this out.
I've had MANY battery issues recently - but i am sure that the battery is not dead. Everything comes on like it's supposed to - as wired in the picture it functions just like a normal brake light. I just can't get it to do what it's supposed to do.

FYI - i bought the headlight one too. I hope I don't have simliar issues...but i haven't started that project yet until i can at least get one side working.
