many of you will know that ma had a stoke in september.  after that her personality changed, she made me move out and cut all ties with family. basically she got very paranoid and went into a depression.  well yesterday out of the blue she talked to me.  not once but 3 times in one evening.  so the ice has broken and hopefully she will be ok now. my mother and i are very close so it was extremely odd behaviour for her to cut me out of her life for almost 9 months.  with any luck i can get down home and makes sure everything is ok

That's good to hear. Family is the most important thing in this world. I went for over a year without seeing or talking to my dad, it was really hard. Hopefully everything will work out and you two can have a relationship again.

A stroke can do that kind of stuff to people depending on where it is in the brain, it's important that you don't take what happened personally, even though it affected you that way, it wasn't anything you did. Things must have gotten repaired in her brain, that's sure a blessing for both of you and I'm glad to hear it!

as usual you guys are my support system except terry i hate him     i know it was not personal but this has bothered me quite a bit.  not just personally but also all my stuff, paperwork, parts and parts i have to send to people are all there.  it was my home and my life and it was taken away from me with no notice.  sort of like having your house burnt in a fire and loosing everything.  but unlike a fire everything is still there and now there is light at the end of this horribly dark long tunnel

Man, that is really excellent news; I don't get along with some of the members of my family, and the blame belongs to all of us. I can be a real hardass when the situation calls for it; at one point, I went seven years without seeing my parents, NOT the fault of my mother... so I wish you all the best in this. Do your best to rebuild the bridges, and try to forgive your mother for the grief and pain she caused you. Appreciate her now, because none of us is promised a single day of life... as you, among all of us, well know. My best to you and your ma...
