So if you watched my video in " a video apology " you would know I broke a mirror.
well first thing this mornign I did was stop by kawa-suzuki dealer and find a replacement

of course its a dealer they did not have the GS500 mirrors (BIG SUPRISE THERE ??!!??)
so I recalled someone mentioning Katan Mirrors were a bolt on swap..

They had aftermarket mirrors for katana's, so, when in need... And it wasnt more than 48$ for the pair.
Heres a few pics, opinions ?

I think they look great. A lot more substantial than the stockers.

They look good  . . . IMHO . . . One thing the stock ones had going for them though, was flex points at both the mounting end and the mirrior end. If the bike goes over or hits something, there is some flex there to prevent cowling damage.  (saved my butt more than once) Not sure from the pictures if these would flex at the mounting end.

The original ones needed to be about an inch longer to give a better rear view. Are these any longer than stock and do they give you a better field of view?

seamax

where did you get the blue levers and do they have any in red?

ohgood

looks great. i'm beginning to like the looks of some of the F's for some reason. :)

dump the extensions and mount the mirrors straight to the fairing.  they will vibrate less and look better.  if i think of it i will take a picture of mine or go to one of my youtube video's

to your first question, yes they have a pivot point at the base of it.
to answer the second question, no they are shorter by about an inch over oem's,
but with my 1" spacer in place the katana mirrors are about the same, visibility wize, as the oem without spacers.

humm I dont get vibrations because I use all the rubber paddings in the right places and I dont OVER squeeze the rubber (its there to take vibrations out)... I have no issues seeing whatso ever with threse mirrors.

SV-650s mirrors look like they'd fit too, has anyone tried them? Cause there's butt loads of aftermarket ones for that bike. And here's the originals looks awefully similar to stock.
