I guess you found it, but here are a couple more links.
The latter has some indication of retail price and production numbers.
Check Ebay though, some of last years stuff seems to be going for ridiculously high prices.

Spec's ??? they stock it, 24's were available, but ironically in NC (1200+ miles away) shiner's stuff is cheaper than in TX. Though you can get shiner hefe at most walmarts. Most, not all, if the area is under 85% mexican, you'd get shiner hefe, if its over 85% mexican, forget it, its bud, miller etc for the poor mexicans and corona/tecate for the rich mexicans.

I'm a guinness man.  My love for it is so bad that I walk into McNulty's, one of the busier bars in east cleveland and The bartenders know me by name, have a pitcher ready before I get to them and "forget" to charge me for pitcher two or three fairly often.  A few weeks ago they couldn't find my card when closing my tab, apparently I had been moved to the VIP pile.  I'm pretty certain the next step up the ladder from VIP is AA....

In all honesty I'll drink nearly anything.  Natty, Busch, Miller, Bud (or Bud Light), PBR etc almost exclusively when its free. Otherwise Smithwicks, New Castle, Guinness, etc.  The harder it is to see through it the better.

Anyone ever had Bell's Java Stout.  Its a stout brewed with coffee - a lot like buzz beer from the Drew Carrey show.  If sex tasted as good as that stuff I'd start paying for it too.

My beer of choice, Natural Light.

Bell's is one of my favorite brewers, and yes I have had the Java Stout.   I think my favorite from them is the Double Cream Stout though.  Basically, it's one of those beers that I feel I have to buy everytime I find it.

As for your "forgetful" bartender--you're just a big tipper.  I know that game.  :icon_lol:

As for all the poopy mass produced swill you mentioned.  Those would have to be desperate times, my friend.   :icon_lol:

Now that's patience...  Have you tried any of the other vintages?  And if so, did you find the experience worth the money?  I've just had a hard time convincing myself to take that leap.  ...State College, eh?  Know any Sprouls?

I had a bottle of 94 triplebock, blechhhhhh.

I will pass on the Utopia, way to much money.

Actually I really don't much like Sam Adams at all :dunno_white: They had one beer I tried at a restraunt was thick and heavy tasted like a yeasty bread, that was the only one of theirs I have had that I enjoyed.

We had a room mate for a while when my wife was in college that was the ostentatious type who thought anything more expensive had to be better.
She didn't like me because I thought she was an irritating snob, I would blend up maragaritas then not offer her one since I used cheap tequila for margarita's, all I heard one time was how this and that was better tequila. It was a margarita for petes sake.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Natty - Natty Greene's I thought that was a local micro brew from werase's basement ...
Oh yea, I cannot stand the java beer really ... it tastes like coffee grounds ...
PBR is good the rest of the watery beer's OK I can drink them, I cannot stand very "flavorful" beer, if I dont like the type of flavor.

IMO, no beer is worth Sam's limited editions.  I don't care how good it is.  I've had an aged SA Triple Bock and it was good but I've had better cheaper.  Their gimmicks and part of the sex appeal is the price.  I know that going into it so it doesn't bother.  How many people can say they've had Utopia?

I've never even heard of Sprouls and I'm a big of a beer geek myself.  (i refuse to call myself a beer snob, it gives us geeks a bad name)   :)
