if your political affiliation/ party etc where not electable, or dropped out or whatnot, would you consider voting for someone on the "other side" i believe we can have a peaceful discussion here. no need to comment on someone elses posts. in other words are you open minded. well hell if you must comment, keep it civil peaceful etc

I would probably not vote for someone from the party of Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, or either of the two Bushes.  Now Dwight Eisenhower, THERE was a Republican I could have voted for.

It absolutely depends on the person running.  If McCain had reasonable positions on choice, trade, the war, torture, etc.  I would consider it.  But he doesn't.  Four or eight more years of what we have just endured would be suicide for our country.

But to answer your hypothetical, yes, I would, IF....

honestly, i'm not sure who to vote for either. mccain is an idiot. he thinks we still need to keep the direction we're going. he obviously isn't listening to the country. i don't know many people that think we need to continue our prescence in Iraq. the withdrawl i understand cannot be immediate but should be swift and systematic. obama...hmm...i honestly just flat out don't like him. i know all politicians like to change their minds on issues just to win votes but he seems very secretive and evasive about alot of things. and he's trying to say that he attended a church for 20 years and agreed with nothing the pastor said. he's either lying or an idiot. in either case, he doesn't need to be in office if he's lying. and i'm sure we're done with having idiots run the country. now, hilliary. i heard her duagher say we should not vote for her because of her dad and we should not vote against her because of her dad either. makes sense really. but you can't tell me that if she's in office bill won't be "helping" or influencing things. now, i didn't agree with his stance on abortion or the 2nd ammendmant. however, if i recall correctily our economy did fairly well during his time in office and our foreign policy wasn't too shabby either. hmmmm.....


one a side note, whomever the Dems choose, (hillary or obama) i'm guessing the other may be offerd the vice spot. now, if that person is not offered the vice spot or declines it, can they still run for prez?

For the principle alone, vote who you want to see in the whitehouse. It doesn't matter if you think they are electable or not. It' is who YOU want to see in there that matters. If you and otheres are willing to vote for the person you believe is the best for the job, than they ARE electable. I am voting for neither Mcain, Clinton, or Obama. I made up my mind long ago. Voting for the lesser of evils doesn't make anyone any happier, they are still evil.

the one good thing about hillary is that she will fix the medical crisis in america.  being both american and canadian i can speak honestly about both system.  it comes down to this.  in canada you may have to wait long BUT you will get the care and not pay a dime.  too much money is going to the military and policing in america.  more to social programs is what i would do if i were president.  this capitalism foolishness that money trickles down to the poor is just non sense.  ok to be fair i will bash canada too.  canadian are born with their hand out waiting for their family allowance or EI check  oops i mean cheque.  btw i went to subway here in canada and asked for american cheese and they looked at me like i was nuts...i guess its called orange cheddar here.  i guess i did not get the memo.  and errr aaa ahhh doooohhhht huv aaaaaan amurican axent, ya'll
