um ya.  exactly.  It being traded as a comodity is a problem.  prices are faulsely high in my opinion...

so if the prices are indeed in a "bubble" so to speak such as the housing market, what happens when said bubble pops? and it will, just as it did in the  housing market. oil companies would loose money i'd think. if we're selling it at let's say it does reach $200 a barrel, what happens when for whatever reason the bubble breaks and it's now only selling for $60-$70 a barrel?  and the 60-70 mark is where most anaylysts have it priced for worth.

they make money by presentage over cost.  they charge a precentage over cost so theyll just stop making stupid crazy profits...

i have a better idea with high oil prices .....forget blaming politcians and someone go and shoot an executive from one of the big oil companys and maybe the will get the message that everybody in noth america is f-ing pissed off with the bull-shite

well it just hit 1.22 a litre here in toronto today , deisel is 1.25 a litre and the transit system just went on strike ...i can't wait till the truckers get pissed off and shut down the city

i remember in the 70's when the same thing happened except their were line ups to buy gas and "out of gas" signs because of the shortage.  this began the fuel efficiency research and the more economical vehicles we have today.  but still u see people all by them selves in  SUV's Vans and the ultimate Hummer.  to fill up it can cost them the better part of 100 bucks. i don't feel bad for them at all.  they bought the vehicle like they buy these huge homes they are now losing to the banks.  as a status symbol
