near miss, back trouble, major pain

Just wanted to ask for some prayers and share a story. 

I had a near miss late last week.  On my way home from work in a busy section of a road with kroger, starbucks, etc, lots of driveways, I was riding cautiously and watching for idiot drivers, and lo and behold, this lady in a CTS pulls out of kroger in front of me making a left across my lane.  I was doing 30-35 and she pulled out no more than a car length in front of me.  I hit the brakes, locked up the rear and at the end the front locked for a foot or so, when I stopped my bike was angled at a 45degree and I was holding on for dear life with left leg down.  As I tried to pull it up my back popped and I have caused and acute si problem which means HOLY SH$% THIS FU#$$## HURTS!!!!!  Yesterday I had an injection and right now Im' stoned on steriods, oxycodone and some tizanidine muscle relaxer.  Even with all of that it still hurts like hell.  I can't sit, lay or stand for very long without severe pain.  Guess we can be as careful as we can, and even not wrecking we can F$% ourselves up.

The best part is dude behind me jumped out and helped me pick up the bike and get it to the side of the road.  Then as I was letting the adrenelon calm down and the pain set in, he laid into this lady.  It was amazing.  He was like WTF is wrong with you you stupid dumb a$$.  Can't you see this man riding, did you even look, do you even care!!!  For like 3 minutes he let her have it and then told her to get her A$$ out of there.  It was histerical.  Guy rides a HD on the weekends.  Never met him, but damn, he came to my defense really quick.

The worst part: ortho doc said no riding, golf, or soccer for a month and no sex for 2 weeks.  @#$#@$#@$@#  I can't golf.  j/k.

Damn man, that sucks! Glad to hear you were able to get it stopped and not t-bone her, but I can't imagine the pain you must be in.  I guess Harley riders are good for something...sh!t talking.

glad you're well, alright as alright with a messed back can be. you should sue the woman that was driving the cts.... oh ya, she left.

the HD guys are pretty bad ass about this kinda stuff. they may cuss you for riding the wrong bike/colors/whatever, but if you're down they'll start a war quick.

hopefully you're married, and already used to the lack of sex.

no golf of biking is going to really depress you.

thanks.  GS held up great.  My $45 case guards saved all damage!!!  Already paid for themselves.

As for no sex, I married a good little catholic girl, and she is making up for lost time, so i will miss it. 

I already miss golf, I was supposed to play today.

Back injuries suck! Have two herniated discs myself. As soon as your able and can afford it get some physical therapy under your belt. Get those core muscle strong or riding will be painful after bout half an hour. It did a world of wonders for me at least.

I've ridden my bike for about a total of thirty minutes in the last month due to injury. My own stupidity though. Tomorrow I see the ortho and see what he says. I've not exactly been as good as I should have been but dang we gotta live right. I washed my car today and it will be a dead give away tomorrow that I didn't wear my brace cause I sunburnt the krap out of my foot. Putting the brace on is going to be quite painful but d@mn my car looks great!

Heal up and get used to looking at your baby and apologizing that you can't ride her! I mean the bike!

It's a good pain buster, especially for the lower back, I have experience with relieving back pain.   
Just be gentle with yourself!

well i,,, uhhhh nvm   i find out, since ive been quite sore altely, ESPECIALLY in teh kidney areas, is to sometimes sleep n my fllor ( hardwood) it relieves it in teh morning. im stiff as all hell ( MY BACK), but son thereafter i can move around a bit/while before it starts up again
