After a few months of waiting on parts and wrenching the GS is now on the road. The Original owner wrecked it when it was 6 months old, at 4390 miles,  and it sat in a garage since then.

I bought it, got a cheap set of used forks and had those rebuilt, bought the headlight, fender, guage cups, and lots of other misc junk, as well as all the factory hardware. I figure I put $800 into it, and paid $800 for it as well.

I also have short stalk clear signals coming and it has the 14T Sprocket upgrade. It runs quite well considering the tank is still half full of 2002 gasoline

Still getting used to the power, Shall I say the lack of it. My first bike was a slightly modified  FJ1100 that ran 11.75 in the quarter mile, spinning the rear tire through first and  most of second,  at our high altitude. Since then I have had a Maxim 1100, a Magna V45, an R6, and a Katana 600... In that order, I guess I have been constantly downgrading.  ;)

With the 14T it runs much better, and still has enough power to get me in trouble around town, Still havent hit the freeway with it, but I may not want to since it will be a huge upset over my previous bikes.

Still new to the picture thing, so thiis is the best I can do.

Power is adequate, just keep it in the twisties and don't slow for the turns.   :thumb:
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

It is a Katana front fender... The correct one for my bike is discontinued through Suzuki, I read somewhere that the katana was a direct fit, so I bought a used one on Ebay, and painted it to match the bike.  maybe it is on backwards, No Idea, I didnt have much to work with considering the bike was in pieces from the tank forward when I got it.
