So i just put the bike up for sale, its in the f/s section.  BUT! I'm in the market for a gs500e. I don't know much about this bike so i wondering if you guys had any pointers on what i should look for problem wise when I go look at one. I got about $1500 saved for a gs500e, as a project bike, and another $4200 for a r6 or gsx-r. Should I relocate more funds into the gs or does this sound good? Thanks in advance everyone.

You should be able to get an E-model in decent shape for $1500.  As far as the other bike, if you simply must have a Jap bike let me first suggest an SV, they are one of the sexiest Jap bikes.  After that, I'd say go for a Yammy, aesthetically they are miles ahead of Suzuki IMO.

yeah i was thinking a sv650, but i really want the lower fairings and the dealership gave me $600 quote, ebay said $300. It's still an option though...
