I have done some research on this forum.. and some to seam to like these gloves, some don't... Are these the same ones people are saying yes and no to?:

Because it seems like the no ers were saying no because they wanted all leather.. and these seem to be all leathers.

thanks!

they look like nice gloves, i prefer longer gloves so wind doesnt come rushing up my jacket sleeve(sort of like ski gloves) in fact thats what mine are people say protect you hands blah blah blah but over all my years motor crossing and road riding i have never even grazed my hands, so if i was you id get some thing warm and practical over real protection, but those gloves look nice :thumb:

Thanks for the input :) I didn't think about the wind factor when it gets cold... Today it was 103 degrees down in GA.. so cold was the furthest thing from my mind :)

Cheap leather, cheap stitching. Crappy gloves.

Never used them but by looking at the pic, it doest look like it offers alot of protection.  If you want short gloves I'd go with these

I really like those gloves and might pick up a pair next summer. They can be had on eBay for fairly cheap I believe.

The Icon Pursuit gloves also have paper-thin armor in the knuckles, useless against anything but a fly swatter.

Alpha. . . sheesh.

My man, I've crash tested Icon Purist gloves.  They are tip top. Held up brilliantly.

To say that the leather and the stitching is cheap is just to venture a guess.  That is unless you've owned some.  Or unless you are a leather and thread expert.  Which of course, you're not.

Trust me: those glove are just fine for their intended use.  I wouldn't race motoGP in them. . . but . .

The leather was thin and flimsy. The stitching was loose and the threads were poking out.

The palms of the gloves might hold up well, but what about OTHER parts of the glove? That is where most tend to fail.

I have these gloves, they were awesome when I bought them and I wore them for a year straight. The next year I got a pair of Astar SM3 gloves, and I've never been able to wear the icon ones since. They don't feel right, they don't sit right and the leather feels thin and cheap. Also, the leather bunches up. I have no structural problems with them, I'm just used to my new gloves now. So much so I can't even ride without them!

I would like some new gloves.  Mine aren't long enough in the finger area, and they are. . . ahem. . . XL's (wink, wink).  Maybe I just like them because they are the only ones I've tried.

I've been searching for gloves as well. Tried on dozens of pairs.

I just bought a pair of the Cortech Scarab RR Gloves...still wating for them to arrive...every darn place has bee out of stock. They fit real well, with no annoying rubbing of carbon pieces on my fingers or knuckles. And I really like that they were very difficult to pull off once on.

And since it's been so friggin hot, I am considering a pair of Revit Solar Gloves. I found them at the local BMW dealership. Fit was great, with a nice balance of protection and breathability.

Good luck in your search, and ride safe,
David.

Yeah, they might seem to have "protection" until you crash. Ever crashed in mesh gloves? The results are not pretty; trust me, I know. I'd trust the Icon Pursuit gloves over those...

Gloves I'm looking into for next year (can never have too many!):
Alpinestars SP-S

All leather, preforated in a few places, short-cuff design

Alpinestars Octane S-Moto

All leather, perforated in a few places, air flow in the knuckle area, short-cuff design

After seeing what happend to Alpha's hand with his mesh gloves got the Alpinestar SP-S have not had any problems with them in the Ga heat.  Pic's don't do it justice you need to see them in person very heavy on the padding on the top, has an extra flap that helps cover your wrist, and the padding on the bottom is very nice.  And I can still feel all the controls when I use them.

I own these gloves and I think they are good gloves for the price. I ride alot and don't have alot of money to buy stuff with and for the 50.00 dollars they arent bad.  they are nice soft leather. the stitching isn't crappy or anything.
