New forum needed for stickies

Why are there 12 stickies in the GD foum?? Almost half of the first page!!!!

I see only 4 that actually have a place there. At least 4 belong in the For Sale Forum. 1 belongs in the FAQ. The 3 for the valve kits could go either in the FS or stay in GD.

  Agreed.

Perhaps the wiki can get a permanent link at the top of the forum page? (and therefore "unsticky" the related thread)

Absolutely true.  Too many stickies, most in the wrong part of the forum. 

Makes it harder to find new posts.  Especially really important ones, like this one.

I agree, there's only room for around 10 actual threads with all these stickies. I never even read most of them...

I think we need a how to addition and a modification addition.How to for things like cleaning carbs,changing oil,general routine and not so routine maintainence.Modification like katana front end up grade,katana wheel and shock upgrade,things like that.FAQ to general facts answers and question about the GS.Like fuel mileage,color schems,changes made over the years like seat,carb and ignition changes.

The forum needs to grow with it's members. 

It is getting hard to find how to's and mods.Alot of people don't know to look in FAQ for mods and upgrades.FAQ is usually year and model changes along with specs.The Wiki needs some headlining on the forums as well as some sites like Pablo's.New people don't know about the wiki until they happen upon it or another member clues them in.I have close to 100 forum topics book marked that should be in a how to or modification section.Searching is easy for those that remember reading topics.New people have a hard time finding info when they're asked to search first before asking questions.I still have problems searching and I've been here a year.


Can we rally the moderators on this and see about making the forum a little more user friendly?

This is very true, even if I remember reading a thread I have trouble finding it in a search. Happened to me the other day, I never found it either.

And he has since stopped responding to emails and PM's.So he may be back inside,again.

The other one has been dead for a while. That's why Teek had the east kit out in CA. Right now we have no kit.
