i want to change the foot pegs but don't know what to look for or where to begin to look for them.

if someone can give me some info that'd be great!

I have no idea about the exhaust, but as far as pegs go, try this.

I just put these on and they look great.

You will have to modify all but the full Yosh (not made anymore I think) The full V&H or the Full Jardine. Thats all the popular exhausts made to fit. The GS has no slip-on or bolt on systems.

Other than that you are on your own to make the pipe fit... Most any will, you just have todo some work  :thumb:

...Yoshi TRS *cough*

Techniclly the GS exhaust is one piece, but it can be cut to add a slip on.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

Tang

sweet for the info just got to save money on that aftermarket slip on

Yea, I think its funny. I did see a few places that say the Yosh TRS will fir 05-08 GS500

It is deff. not made to fit, you have to make it fit by cutting your pipe... This I think kinda defeats the "slip-on" idea... Its a "hack-on"  :thumb:

So I will stick w/ my statement that there are no TRUE slip-on exhausts made specific for the GS  :thumb:

anyways i think i'm going with the TRS since someone that has a GS500 has done it

or maybe i should go with the RS-3

still can't make up my mind

what cutting tool shold i get?

:dunno_white: O0

Personally I like my Portaband but for a few dollars less, a hack saw will provide the same results.
Common sense in not very common.

I dont trust myself w/ a hack saw.. I always get all crooked, I never get a straight cut  :icon_mrgreen: I would use a pipe cutter  :thumb:

Could you maybe post some process pics? I have an RS3 sitting in my basement, going to take it to a performance muffler shop and see how many arms they want to fit a mid pipe.   :icon_razz:

Welded mid pipe should be around $20.Try to catch them on a dead day begging for something to do.It also helps if you cut off the old can and mount the slip on where you want it,be fore you take it in.

ok i finally saved up enough money to buy  TRS muffler wooo!

and i see that the 89- the one before they started adding fairings too have a smaller diamter muffler than the new ones with the fairings

The Buddha

You cut the can off at the parts where it flares, there is ~3 inches of the header inside the flared area, use a pipe spreader and pop that to your prefered size. Nothing to it.
Cool.
