Year model differences?? Need inf quick!

Hey all,

Looking at a wrecked 2006 model. Vin/"frame" no good. Would need clean title frame. Are all gframes the same? I don't want the new bodywork and would convert it to naked anyway. Going to look this afternoon at the bike and need to know before I go so I know whether to buy it or not.

I'm just guessing, but I think the frame is the same from 89-00, then changed for 01-current.  I think it was minor changes, and mostly in the rear subframe.  I'd wait for someone else to chime in also.

Its just a few brackets added and a different bracket for the tank, otherwise its a pretty simular frame

Here is the compatibility:
89-00
01-02 (changes in subframe, different mounts for the tail plastics & seat)
04+ (has mounts for the fairings and oil cooler, otherwise the same as the 01-02)

Bike was really screwed!! If anyone needs the engine, I'll split the cost of this bike so I can have the wheels/brakes/suspension!
