Hi Guys. So I was riding around the other day after installing a new headlight (love having the low beam back. Can ride at night again). Was going a little fast in a 25 zone (ok, was going about 30), hit a bit of a pothole (Providence has crummy streets) and I get to watch my headlight fly up and then bounce back down, hanging by its wires.

Basically, the whole headlight bracket came off, and the bulb, reflector, and chrome ring all hung together. I guess the screws at 4 and 8 o'clock rattled loose. I can't seem to find what size they are. Please, if anyone knows, shoot me a line. Just the little flat-headed standards.

Till then, I've got some duct tape holding it all together.  8)

Sorry, I forgot to take a pic for you when I went riding yesterday. Did you get this sorted out yet?

I just measured one and it looks like:

M5 (diam) x 0.8 (pitch) counter sink phillips, 8mm long (threaded section).

Ah duct tape!
Half the world as we know it is held together with the stuff.
As time passes, the other half will be.

;)

Excellent! Many thanks. I'll trash the duct tape (although it matched the tape on my seat, for the cheap two-tone wannabe-corbin look) and use lock tight this time.

The loctite will probably keep the silly things from rusting hard into the mounting ring!
Be sure to use the service type and not the permanent one.  "Removable Threadlocker 242" would be fine.

I tried to remove one from my running bike and could not due to rust. I've some spare parts around and pulled one from that assembly for the numbers. It was still rusted badly and I cleand it up with a die to make sure of the thread pitch and diameter.
