I was replying to another thread, on another forum today, and trying to make a point about braking being a far better yardstick for measuring a motorcycle's performance than acceleration. It was quickly realized that very few references are found for braking performance of models. Sure, 0-60, 0-100, and top end are plastered all over, but I don't see 100-0 or 60-0 anywhere.

Anyone have a nice reference or magazine that actually shows real world numbers of motorbikes stopping distances ?

thanks

MCN includes 60-0 mph braking test on their bike test data sheets.  You can find these figures in their Perfprmance Index list of data from all their tests.

I included them on my road test lists for GS/EX500 bikes where available:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.
