Please get rid of the grab bar!
I officially put my name first on the list for the cowl, let me know if you need a deposit. Please tell me it will be black!
Oh yeah one more thing, get rid of the cheesy grab bar and come up with a way to cover up the cutouts left by removing it. Thanks.

+1 for removal of grab bar, I have mine removed on my F already as well.  Very interested in the cowl when it becomes available for purchase.

Alright, we are going to do the seat cowl as requested for the 01+.  It will cover the area of where the grab rail would have been, and cover up the area where the grab rail use to attach.  We are taking orders starting now!!  We need a 10 person buy in, we will do for those first 10 people, the cost at $150 shipped within the US (Message me about International Shipping).

Take advantage now!!  We will raise the price back up after the first 10 orders.  They will be made in high quality, Mold Injected ABS Plastic.

We will take on other requests still, and we won't forget about the pre 01 bikes, but this is the foot in the door for seeing how this bike will work for us.  If you are interested, please PM me, and let's get the GS500's the attention they deserve!

Well is there anyone in the Los Angeles area?  We are currently working on production of both models, both the sleek and the race style.  Let me know if anyone is interested in this before we get the first 10 orders.  We are going to fit it to match up with the bike, and fit on your seat and cover the area for the grab rails as requested.  thankyou

150 bucks plus the 20 dollar shipping is a little much. I'm posting my pics today of a cowl that allows no removal of the grab rail that will be alot more affordable. These cowls they have will be gel-coated and white so please consider the expense. Watch for my profile today  for pics and I will  show you mine. Leave yourself options

Ours works with, or without the removal of the grab rails.  When you say that yours are gel-coated, that tells me that your making them in fiberglass.  These are ABS Plastic, the same high quality that is used to make your factory fairings.  Can we assume that you are hand laying this fiberglass?  Right now we are going to offer the sleek cowl as well as the racer cowl.  Thanks for the reply

any way you can do something on the computer thats shows how they will look on a GS?

Agreed, kind of difficult to commit $150 to something when you don't even know what it's going to look like.

What kind of process do you use to make them? Just curious since I work for a plastic injection molding company. I know the costs of tooling so the price is reasonable.
Common sense in not very common.

We are working on getting a computer generated image while we are in the process of prototyping.

But yes our products are Mold Injected ABS Plastic, using a strong solid metal molds allowing for a clean and consistent part to be produced each time.  Thanks for the replies so far!

Post a picture of a hugger on a bike for how you want it to look, and will get a consensus.  We do need more participation to get these parts going.  Comment on products, post pictures of what you want, start stating whether you like the idea or not!  The more posts the better!

i would be really interested in this and so would alot of other people. Just please dont get discouraged and not produce them because people are really gonna want to see a picture before commiting 150$ to a unseen cowl

TheTazZ

Indeed - an image speaks louder than words!
Even a CG mockup. I wouldn't commit to buy, without at least a vague idea of how the finished product will look.
I must say though, its nice to see someone willing to listen to the needs and ideas of customers. That's too rare these days  :thumb:
