As per my email to you guys at Cowltech, interested in the cowl for sure.

The hugger would also be of interest to me.....as long as it (and the cowl) both fit a K7 GS500F ...

Sounds good though.  Looking forward to the pictures....

Hey everyone, sorry to leave you guys hanging but we have been working hard on making this prototype work and fit correctly before finalizing the mold.  We like to take care and consideration in making our mold correct the first time so that we have no imperfections in the mold which makes it easier for everyone including us for the paint process and install.  We have also been working trying to figure out the proper way to mount it, we have concluded that where the seat and the cowl meet we will have two straps, but to the point of where the cowl goes all the way to the rear, we are having a tough time figuring out the best way to attaching it.  If you all want this product out quicker, and would rather figure mounting out yourselves on this forum then that is doable.  Otherwise give some suggestions, or the thoughts.

Thanks

Hey man, I checked out your website a while back; there's an error on  your "Contact Us" page. The phone number you show has only NINE digits, instead of TEN, so I don't know how anyone is ever going to be able to call you.

Here's the number you have listed:

877-467-228 ext X

You might want to have someone fix the numbers on that page, since the error is repeated three times.

Not trying to bust your balls; I just wanted to make you aware of the problem, so someone will correct it. Obviously, I can't CALL you to tell you about it... Good luck with the GS500 seat cowls and huggers; you won't get rich selling them, but I'm glad you guys are willing to produce something for the little Gisser... I think there are more than enough GS500s on the road to justify the expense and aggravation of cranking them out. If you're able to begin mass production, and can find a European distributor, you might actually make a few bucks. Due to the tiered licensing system used in other parts of the world, the GS500 has a strong following on the other side of the Atlantic, and elsewhere...

I reckon the fittings need to be sorted before the cowl is released etc...I dont fancy no easy way of mouting the cowl, especially with the price being quite high-ish - wouldnt want to get it and it fall off, due to being improperly mounted...cheers.

Sorry about the number, but the number it posted largely in the header, it's 877 467 2289 and will make sure we get our webmaster to fix it.  Also we should have pics of the product by the end of this week, so make sure to keep watching.

Thanks

i am down for one too. but like the rest, i will need to see the finished product. seems like they want a big pre-production order to get things going.  :nono:  you need to make the product, then sell it, not the other way around. i do commend you on making products for the red-headed step child bikes. i think you can find a lucrative niche market making parts for the bikes the rest of the aftermarket else passes over.  :thumb:

Looking forward to those additional photos but this sneak peek isn't bad!  :thumb:

When you take the higher res photos, can you take some against a blank background. Maybe a wall or something so we can see the lines of the cowl better. Also, some full bike shots so we can get the whole effect.  :icon_mrgreen:

Thanks!

Those are looking good.
      2 Questions..
1. How does it stay put?
2. How much will it cost?

I can't wait to see some pictures of the rear hugger!

Cowl Tech

Here is what we are offering in terms of costs.  If we get a 15 person group buy, we will do $140 shipped to the Continental US (International Shipping Contact Us), We will then offer paint match services for an additional cost.

In terms of attachment, they will attach by two straps, one towards the front of "rear seat", and one towards the rear of the "rear seat".  Let me know what the verdict is, and if we are going to get our 15.  Thanks and hope everyone enjoys!

As per the above, will the straps be hidden from sight, under the cowl itself or will these be on show for all to see?

Obviously, if the straps to attach the cowl to teh seat were hidden, it would look far more effective...if you have any pics of this part of it, and as others say, the whole bike with the cowl on, this would be good....

Cheers.

Regards to getting the 15 - I would be interested as per my previous posts etc if the straps are hidden and not obvious to the eye.  I'd also need a timescale of delivery etc before purchase and some higher res/full size photos but in principle, i'd be interested in the cowl, unpainted, just left white ready for my own decals to be added.

I think it looks great and would definately be interested in one....if you wont be able to see the staps

littleblackjeep

1st and foremost, that looks really good.

couplea questions:
so this straps to the seat, right?  So when I unlock the seat, it'll come up with it?  have you, by chance, checked to see if the helmet lock still works?

bluelespaul

id be down for 140$ shipped. i just wanna see some wider angle pics. ya know, to get the feel of what the bike will look like as a whole with one on it. (im very picky about my GS if you couldnt tell)
