I took the carbs down again and cleaned thoroughly, measured and adjusted the left float height.  Synched the carbs by eye.   Re-installed everything and got her idling fine and revving freely.   It bumps a bit in the upper revs.   Gonna put new plugs in and see how she does.   Just gotta get a new chain and back tire and should be ready to practice some riding.

Couldn't have done it without  GStwin.com.   Thanks again.

took my first ride ever tonight.   Felt great, just did a short hop to my neighbor's who paints bikes, and then up to my Pop-in-law's farm shop to check my tire pressure.   It was an awesome late afternoon ride on quiet country roads.

Definitely need some more carb refinement however, the bike doesn't want to rev much over 6-7 grand, hesitates some.   Idle hangs high some as well.
