I am having trouble with my Jetting Mix.

I previously had a wileyco, k&N, 22.5-65.145, no change to the air mixture screw and my bike ran ok.  THe exhaust then fell off and it was running again ok with no exhaust.  During the time with no exhaust i bumped the air mixture screw to 3 and it ran real bad.  I just put on a F1 exhaust and started it.  It was barely ideling (seemed rich) and smelt unburned gas.  So I adjusted the air mizture screw to to 2.5 and it is bearly starting.  Only starts with gas, but when I put the choke on it dies.

So, first if anyone has any thoughts on where I went wrong I would appreciate it.  Also, how does the air mixture screw work?  more turns more gas to air, or more turns more air to gas?

Thanks in advance.

Try this 20/62.5/145.The more you turn it out the richer the mixture gets.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

How many turns do you suggest?

I usually start at 2.5,but I think you said you were there.

so turn the screw into 2 then try 1.5. that may fix it up nice. but as said, you may need some different jets. but as a general rule, if it seems rich, put the screw in

Yeah I think I will try 2 turns tomorrow.

So, I figured out that I mixed up the return and main gas hoses (going to the petcock).  I should have known    .  I pushed my cell to open it up at like 6:30 last night after working on my bike all day and without fail I scew up.

Anyway, my question is this.  The hoses (main attached to the return) was pretty tough to get off.  So tough, that it pulled the actual brass piece off the petcock.  Did I jsut buy myself a new petcock or can I shove it back in there?  If I put i back in should i like use some sort of adhesive or should these things just come out?

Also, I didn't do any damage to my bike witht he fuel lines mixed up right?

Thanks!

So I just hit it back in with a hammer.  Put it together and ran just fine.
