LOL! I went to ease up the tension and it fell over in my truck bed.   Got a new scratch for the collection but no apparent harm done.     

A friend just did that with a new Triumph Bonneville, 0 miles, creased the gas tank with the edge of the pickup bed.

I hope it's a good ride for you.  I'm trying to get a '90 into shape for uneventful commuting.  I'm putting on new gas lines, fuel filter, and engine guards today.
